Eastbourne Speakers Club is a member of International

I am pleased and proud to belong to this organisation. What it does is set out to help the individual develop their confidence and competence in Public Speaking, and that leads on to the development of confidence competence and effectiveness as leaders.
Even though 80% of the world seem to rate public speaking as worse than death, I am not really sure I fully trust this bit of research! We all "speak in public" every day. We all have to make presentations of one sort or another - every day. Why not get a lot better at it in an environment that is supportive and provides probably the best feedback and evaluation you'll ever receive. Not destructive - it's supportive: Not cruel - it's kind: Not emotional - it's fact, even though all evaluations are personal to the evaluator. It's one of the things Toastmasters excel at, this evaluation and it's the only way you'll improve. Just come along one evening and experience a meeting - membership is by invitation - we would love to meet you and show you what we do.
